Sharing What Brings My Life The Greatest Joy Through Poetry

Upon morning light

Saffron dreams make an escape

A new day begins

Inspired and eager,

I rush to pen

And out of

Precious solitude

A thought from

Deep emotions

Once distant and frozen,

Now warm and gracious

In thankful smiles

Touched in love

With joy

I love the line “I rush to pen.” It works really well – that image of rushing to capture a new day’s beauty. Rushing for one’s pen, but also rushing to write. I appreciate how you used the word as both a verb and a noun. šŸ™‚
